I'm looking for multiple Senior Mechanical Engineers to join a leading Nuclear Services organisation based in Warrington, Cheshire.
This is a hybrid-working role of 3 days per week required onsite and you MUST be eligible for security clearance (SC) to be considered.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience.
Day-to-day, you'll assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers.
- Ensure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities
- Contribute to Project Safety Assessment process
- Ensure task and project risks are communicated and managed appropriately
- Produce, review and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports as assigned
- This position involves some manual work which includes lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types
- Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities
- Ideally coming from a Nuclear or Defence background but any other highly regulated industry will do
- Good communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience in relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience
- Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice
- Chartered Engineer status (or actively working toward Chartered Status)
The salary is £44,000 to £59,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
