On behalf of my client, a leading Aerospace and Defence Electronics organisation based in Greater Manchester I am pleased to present the opportunity for a Demand Planner to work on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts and collaborating with multiple departments, including Commercial and Operations, to align business processes and strategies. This is a truly exciting role for a candidate who is adept at managing complexities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating problem-solving skills and adaptability. This role requires a blend of analytical expertise and business acumen to ensure that production capabilities meet or exceed demand forecasts. You will be responsible for: Developing and maintaining detailed schedules to meet operational demands by planning material and forecasted demand to meet budget Raising sales orders and uploading into MRP after contract review Raising and issuing works orders as required by the delivery schedule Expediting or deferring orders as required in line with schedule / inventory changes 5. Collaborating with department heads and team members to gather scheduling needs and prioritise tasks performing scenario planning when required Monitoring and adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in priorities, employee availability, and unforeseen circumstances Analysing scheduling data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Identify supply chain constraints and discrepancies between supply and demand Preparing and presenting forecast and inventory metrics to the Operations team Utilising scheduling software and tools to streamline the scheduling process and enhance communication You will have: Relevant experience in scheduling, planning, or a related role Proficiency in scheduling software and tools (ERP, Microsoft Office, FileMaker, etc) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy The package: * You'll receive a very competitive salary (£££ offered depends on level of experience), an early Friday finish and other benefits including pension, life assurance and 25 days' (plus bank holidays). As a global leader in their field, they supply superior, lightweight, robust aluminium foil packaging for food for many leading retail brands as well as foil containers for wholesaler and distributor markets worldwide. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for all aspects of procurement & purchasing, of all goods, materials and services. Ensuring that the company's operational needs are met, in line with their sustainable procurement guidelines, considering price, quality and delivery, ensuring continuity of supply. You will be responsible for: Managing the procurement & purchasing of all production & non-production materials and services. Managing customer contracted & non contracted metal demand & purchase contracts, with all group & non group suppliers. Managing stocks of all purchased goods in line with company objectives and report accordingly. Managing all group & non group metal scrap contracts. Demand analysis, purchase order generation and expedition. Supplier liaison and management, maintaining clear and timely lines of communication & supply. Managing all supplier contract negotiation & approval, maintain all documentation & proactively assess renewal requirements. Managing tender processes by gathering data, collating quotations, and arranging sample trials where applicable. Leading development and implementing processes to evaluate and report on supplier performance. Supporting SAP purchasing implementation. Driving cost savings and regular benchmarking exercise to ensure best prices obtained. Managing and supporting direct reports. You will have: Extensive experience in Purchasing, Procurement & Supply Chain, within a manufacturing environment.
