Are you a Development Manager with experience in Mission Critical projects. Can you take a Hyperscale Data centre project from Land Acquisition through to Shovel Ready? Do you want a role with a rapidly growing Owner Operator in one of the fastest growing markets globally? Then this could be the role for you. The business is an Owner Operator of Hyperscale Data Centres and are growing rapidly in Europe so need to find a Development Manager to support their growth. The role is based in London, but will not require more than a couple of days per week in the office. You will be responsible for taking Hyperscale Data Centres from Land Acquisition through to Shovel Ready. The client is looking for someone with Construction knowledge but a commercial focus to ensure the finance, engineering and business case are sound. It is essential that you will have experience in complex mission critical projects, ideally hyperscale Data Centres. This role will NOT suit somebody who is from a residential property or office background. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing company in a sector with a bright future. Our client builds, tests, and commissions the most advanced submarines ever operated by the Royal Navy, as well as their state of the art combat systems and equipment. Part of the Dreadnought Alliance alongside partners Rolls Royce and the Submarine Delivery Agency, the project is the biggest defence project underway in the UK today involving new levels of innovation, technology and collaboration. The Role To obtain confirmation beyond reasonable doubt by review, surveillance and audit that those assumptions, underpinning engineering data, analysis methodologies, and interpretation of results have been validated. To produce evidence in support of qualification, legislative requirements and safety justifications and provide specialist support for associated activities. To contribute to identification and rapid closure of issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages and to manage the resulting change embodiment activities. To liaise with both internal and external customers as required ensuring that their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate and agreed. To provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas and implement agreed recovery plans. To define the qualification obligations for the assurance hold points during build, test and commissioning. Provide support for assurance that the design is adequate i.e. it is robust, in providing supporting documentation for the safety case. To be able to access, have a clear understanding of and apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules and control measures. The Individual As a Principal Engineer - Control and Instrumentation, your skills and qualifications must include: BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent in relevant field A detailed knowledge of distributed control systems, instrumentation and engineering design Demonstrable leadership and communication skills. Relevant sector experience in comparable industry Ability to solve Engineering problems in a real time environment. As an Engineer - Control and Instrumentation, your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Demonstrable knowledge of defence standards (DefStan) would be beneficial CEng qualified.
