Rate: £42.11 per hour inside / Umbrella The role:  Design - Input into the definition of requirements for Integration Functional Specifications; document technical specifications  Build & Configuration - Develop source to OICS integrations, configure non-Oracle adapters.  Quality & Robustness - Implement error handling, retries, idempotency, logging and alerts; align mappings to canonical models and maintain lookups.  Testing & Deployment - Unit test integrations, support SIT/E2E/UAT, package and promote artifacts.  Operations & Support - Monitor dashboards/alerts, troubleshoot incidents and reprocessing per run books, and provide Hypercare support. Quality Engineer Glascoed Based £30.41 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35 12 Month Contract initially. This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Glascoed. Typical duties include (but are not limited to): Review Shop Floor records (e.g. 'SMDCP' documents), 'First Off' items for Quality Dept. approval, technical specifications, drawings, and endorse Certificates of Conformity as an approved signatory. Perform Internal Audits, support External Audits, and support the development of audit responses and robust corrective actions which prevent identified problems from ever happening again. Monitor and analyse reject, rework, and RFT data, and present information to management Monitor and support non-conformance / quality issue management ('CAR', 'Q1', 'Q2', 'Q3', etc.) Drive and support targeted CI (Continuous Improvement) activities, focussing on  (A) Reduced Rejects and Costs  (B) Improved operational workflows, throughput, and efficiency Energise others to engage in improvement activities, and support others in identifying and implementing their own improvements. Support Process Readiness Review (PRR), performing Quality Dept. reviews of process readiness, and supporting the optimisation of the PRR process across the site. Work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve the QMS (Quality Management System) Continually improve your own understanding of lean manufacturing methods, and core tools (including but not limited to: VSM, Root Cause Analysis, 8D, Six Sigma, TOC, MS Excel, Minitab…) and also encourage and assist in continually improving the knowledge of others across Land UK. Knowledge: Excellent numeracy and mechanical comprehension. ISO 9001 Internal auditor certification.
