Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Ship Services Technician to add to their talented, hardworking team in Portsmouth on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £29.19 + £10.56 travel per hour inside IR35 / Umbrella

The Role
* Design and develop solutions to a limited range of common design situations/problems
* Typically works as part of a team and under limited technical supervision
* Requires knowledge and experience in the use and application of design techniques
* Understand and apply a range of fundamental design processes, tools, systems and techniques
* Gaining and expanding knowledge and experience.
You
* Knowledge and understanding of mechanical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level in either Piping or HVAC design
* Experience in Mechanical Compartment Integration and or Engineering Standards at component / assembly level
* Understanding of CAD tools and techniques e.g. Foran, AutoCAD, Solidworks and Siemens NX etc. in both 2D and 3D outputs (Drawings and 3D Modelling). Transferable CAD skills
* Technical Drawings skills i.e. setting out form and content of relevant drawings such as manufacture and installation detail
