My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Stoke on Trent area. They are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join them ASAP on a permanent basis.

As a key member of the sales force, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by promoting our steel door solutions to potential clients. Your focus will be on understanding customer needs, providing technical guidance, and ensuring successful project implementation.

This is a truly exciting time to join a market leading organisation with aggressive growth plans who are relocating to a brand new site in April 2024 in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

You will be responsible for:

  • Sales and Consultation: Engaging with architects, contractors, and facility managers to understand their requirements. Providing tailored solutions based on our range of steel doors, emphasizing their durability, security features, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrating a deep understanding of the steel door products, including fire-rated doors, security doors, and customized designs. Articulate the benefits and technical specifications to potential clients.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborating with the installation and project management teams to ensure seamless execution. Coordinate site visits, assess project feasibility, and provide accurate quotations.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivating strong relationships with existing clients and actively seek new business opportunities. Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to expand our client base.
  • Market Research: Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies related to steel doors. Use this knowledge to enhance our product positioning and sales strategies.

You will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years in technical sales, preferably within the steel door industry.
  • Familiarity with steel door manufacturing processes, installation methods, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Passion for understanding client needs and delivering exceptional service.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • A valid driving license is essential for site visits.
