We are seeking a Technical Capability Lead to work with our market leading Defence organisation on a permanent basis.
The Secure Systems Technical Capability Lead will help our clients to solve problems, meeting their business needs with solutions appropriate to their business strategy that have a significant technology or information systems component.
This role can be based in either Guildford or Gloucester but the successful candidate must also be willing to travel to Salisbury / Portsmouth up to 1-2 days per week (in non-pandemic times).
You will be responsible for:
- Advising clients regarding the opportunities and threats to their business from emerging and disruptive technologies and trends
- Developing evidence-based strategies, approaches, options analyses and product assessments for clients with technology- or information-centric challenges
- Applying rigorous architectural and systems engineering methods to help clients commission and control significant change programmes
- Establishing technical, architectural and engineering governance
With a Science or Engineering Technical Background, you will also have:
- Experience delivering into DSTL or similar HMG agency, and/or experience of one or more of Cyber / DSP / RF Systems / Space / AI+ML
- The ability to contribute Science and Technology knowledge and expertise into technical discussions with the client.
- A willingness to reach out to other subject matter experts to fill in knowledge gaps support/refine an engagement.
- An ability to grasp key technical attributes from a discussion and establish a firm understanding of the required outcome for a task.
- Experience in the delivery of projects in the value range £50k-£5m and associated typical risks mitigations
