I'm looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the UK's leading Defence organisation.
This is a hybrid-working role of 2-3 days per week onsite in Warton, Preston.
You must be eligible for Security Clearance (SC) to be considered for this position.
What you'll be doing;
- Working with the supplier to understand programme status and key issues
- Maintaining telecoms and meetings with a regularity as appropriate to the status of the programme and ensure that suppliers are aware of the National/EF programme requirements
- Providing technical input and stakeholder management into DRL's, PDDP's and DDP's
- Engaging with suppliers to establish future equipment requirements and ensure that product obsolescence is managed through the engineering lifecycle, such as management and generation ECR's, EAPF's and specification baselines
- Ensuring relevant EF processes are visible and adhered to within the supply base
- Maintaining equipment programme plans, status information and issue slide with the latest information to support team reviews
Skills & Experience;
- Experience developing and presenting complex data to a variety of stakeholders
- Experience managing tasks across multiple contracts, balancing priorities and workloads
- The ability to identify, resolve and escalate issues impacting programmes
- An understanding of the 'V' lifecycle, it's application to the production of qualification requirements and aircraft certification and clearances
- A good understanding of the Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS) would be beneficial
This is an excellent role for someone that has worked in the Aerospace and Defence sector, as well as someone that has done this kind of role before in the Army, Navy or RAF.
The salary is £50-55,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
