Join a world-renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Senior Electrical Designer in Barrow in Furness

Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Senior Electrical Designer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Barrow in Furness on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £29.19 per hour inside IR35 (local) £39.74 per hour inside IR35 (non local)


The role:


 Using the CAD toolset to produce 3D models of electrical routed systems and electrical equipment integration e.g. switchboards and power units etc.
 Mature and develop 2D electrical schematics / system diagrams
 Producing outputs (including 2D drawings and electronic data) to a demanding schedule to support manufacturing, installation and testing of our products
 Developing and maintaining close working relationships with other design teams and stakeholders.
 Working as a team to produce an integrated design that meets the customer's expectations and agreed set of requirements


You:


 Knowledge and understanding of electrical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level
 Experience in electrical compartment integration and Engineering Standards at component and sub-component / assembly level
 Understanding of CAD toolsets and techniques e.g. Foran, CADDS5, AutoCAD, Solidworks, Tribon and Siemens NX etc. in both 2D and 3D outputs (drawings and models). Other transferable CAD skills and knowledge welcomed
 Technical Drawings skills and experience e.g. setting out form and content of drawing sets such as manufacture and installation details
 Experience and knowledge of PLM toolsets such as Teamcenter, Database Manager and Windchill etc.
 Submarine or shipbuilding product knowledge from an electrical perspective (disrable) or transferable skills, experiences and knowledge from other industries
