Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for an Energetic Materials Scientist to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glascoed on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £29.75 (inside IR35) per hour.

The Role
* To assess the technology of materials and mixing processes for future developments in secondary explosives and pyrotechnics
* To synthesise new and novel energetic materials
* To conduct technical work on appropriate processing and measurement facilities to provide test data.
* To provide support to Engineering and Operations Departments in the chemistry and processing of secondary explosives and pyrotechnics.
* To report on work and testing undertaken
You

To succeed within the role of Energetic Materials Scientist you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:
* Degree or BTEC (HNC) in a science-based discipline (chemistry is preferred).
* Available for immediate start
* Ability to work in a team and to work independently when required.
* Capable of producing high quality technical reports.
* Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
In addition, knowledge of some inorganic chemistry is preferable
