Quality Advisor - 8 month initial contract opportunity!

A great opportunity has come along with one of the UK's leading Aerospace & Defence businesses who are currently looking to recruit a Quality Advisor to work at one of their busiest sites. The role is an initial 8-month contract and is paying £25.04 per hour (inside IR35) there is a view of starting the right candidate ASAP.

The Role: Quality Advisor
Contract: 8-months initially plus extensions
Rate: £25.04 per hour
IR35 status: Inside IR35.
Location: Barrow, open to Hybrid/Remote

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Promotion of an exemplar Quality culture across their areas of responsibility
    * The periodic review of Quality performance information
    * Support the completion of planned audits and inspections as determined by the project program
    * Responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of yourself and all employees in accord-ance with Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
    * Ensure reactive investigations of non conformance etc within the IPT are undertaken and produce evidence and reports reflective of the severity with corrective and prevent-able actions
    * Ensure required audits and inspections are undertaken as determined by the businesses risk profile
    * Ensure professional and accountable interface with all IPT stakeholders
    * Responsible for the drafting and deployment of applicable Quality documentation such as Quality plans and metrics.
    * Actively support continual improvement activities to enhance business performance such as 5S, Kaizan lean methods, etc
    * Root Cause Analysis and recommendation of corrective and preventative action




    The Individual



    Knowledge:

    3 min years' Quality experience in manufacturing industry
    Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel
    Application of meeting the Industry standards and project specific requirements.
    Auditor / Lead Auditor Qualification.

    Skills:


Thorough understanding of Quality requirements for single discipline projects, multi-discipline EPC projects and contracts
Comprehensive understanding of contract requirements and project technical acceptance crite-ria
Ability to work in an integrated project management team
Capable of managing and prioritizing workloads
Competent written and oral communication skills

Qualification:


Auditor / Lead Auditor Qualification.
First Article Inspection
CQI Member (pref)
Six Sigma Green Belt (pref)
HNC/HND or equivelant experience (pref)
