Mechanical Design Engineer
Fully remote - 40 hours per week
6 month initial contract
Outside IR35
£50 per hour
The Job:
As a Design Engineer (EWIS) you will be part of an IPT (Integrated Project Team) responsible for the Design of the mechanical integration of the EWIS systems of a Jet from prototype into production.
- Design Aerospace assemblies throughout their lifecycle
- Create 3D routings for harness assemblies and design models using Siemens NX
- Consult with engineers of other disciplines, for example Manufacturing Engineers regarding the manufacture of your designs
- Manage the design data of your system in Teamcenter (PBS, BOM, etc.)
Essential skillsets required:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the aerospace industry is required
- Strong knowledge of Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Advanced knowledge of ISO GPS (alternatively ASME GD&T) and overall good drafting skills are required
- Experience in harness routing is required (experience using NX for routing is desired)
- Experience with systems engineering eg, in interface definition is beneficial
- Excellent understanding of general design principles and technical correlations is required
