Position Overview: Jam is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Manager to oversee all aspects of health, safety, and environmental initiatives for our client based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.


  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to management and employees on HSE matters, including training programs and safety initiatives.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of the business, including design, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
  • Stay informed about changes in HSE regulations and best practices and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management throughout the organization.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSE programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and develop proactive solutions.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
