I have an opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the UK's leading Defence organisation.
The role is based fulltime onsite at Barrow-in-Furness and you must be eligible for SC Clearance to be considered.
The working pattern for this role is 3 days on and 4 days off - 6am to 6pm.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for the diagnostics, maintenance and repair of a number of electrical/ technical equipment, including but not limited to CNC machines, Cranes and remote control technology
- Liaising with external suppliers and contractors for materials and parts associated with both planned and reactive maintenance
- You will work safely at all times following Health, Safety and environmental policies and legislation
- Working alongside high voltage infrastructure under senior authorised persons
Essential Skills:
- HNC in Electrical or relevant electrical/technical experience
- Experience working with and interrogating PLC's
- Experience of electronic testing, fault finding and repair
- Understanding of Technical Drawings and Manufacturing Instructions
- Maintenance background in an industrial environment
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in machine maintenance, CNC machines e.g. mills and lathes etc
- Previous experience working alongside high voltage infrastructure
- Experience of maintaining and repairs to building management systems
The salary is £34,032 to £38,431 plus an excellent benefits package.
