I'm working with one of the worlds leading Aerospace & Defence organisations who are looking for Bid Manager to work with some of their biggest international customers.
This is a hybrid-working role of 3 days per week in the office in Portsmouth and 2 days per week at home. There is also some international travel required as part of the role which is once per quarter to the Middle East.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading on bid programme opportunities, encompassing Win Strategy, Price to Win, Solution and the bid governance management plan (life cycle management)
- Developing business cases
- Directing the Bid Programme, forming, developing, and leading a high performing capture team to develop the solution(s) and deliver high quality bid/proposal(s)
- Leading the customer requirement influencing strategy, requirement interpretation and solution option generation
- Leading stakeholder management at all appropriate levels across multiple organisations
- Defining customer relationship management strategy
- Utilising customer review data to truly understand customer perceptions and support capture activity
- Ensuring smooth handovers to Project Manager for delivery phase
Essential Skills:
- Extensive International Business Winning experience and a deep understanding of business winning behaviours, processes, procedures and industry best practice in a competitive environment
- Considerable experience in leading, managing and delivering strategically important and high value Bid Programmes internationally
- Considerable experience of engaging senior stakeholders, particularly customers, and the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships
- Takes ownership for own tasks, defining own and team objectives
- Works on own initiative with responsibility for delivery
Desirable Skills:
- Practical experience with government defence acquisition agencies, both UK and international
- Several years' experience of managing business winning teams
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager that has a background in dealing with large and complex bids with corporate/international organisations.
The salary is £70-80,000 plus £6,000 car allowance and 12.5% bonus.
