Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Assistant Production Planner to add to their talented, hardworking team in Portsmouth on an initial 12 months contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £30.05 Umbrella per hour inside IR35


The role:


To assist the Production Planners with planning operations which will include taking a proactive role with the use of the Work Management Tool


To undertake low level planning tasks using pre-existing libraries in both Change Request and Work Package format.

Additional duties include but not limited to - sourcing documents, creating work packs, checking/updating locations, document references and work instructions, ensuring suitability to complete the task. All documents should be ready for production and controls in place according to the current process.

Skills:

 Hold awareness of general H&S/Environmental regulations and safe working practices
 Have functional knowledge of ship repair
 General understanding of Warship Support operations

Regularly communicates and advises

* Internal:


* IWT and Engineering Production Staff , Capability Managers, Commercial, Supply chain, Project Schedulers and Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager COM/JPTs.
* External:
* SFM, Ship Staff, Sub-Contractors, CAAS, DE&S
* Hold awareness of general H&S/Environmental regulations and safe working practices
