Technical Manager - Christchurch Based (Hybrid/Remote working) - £71.08 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35 - 12 Month Contract initially.
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based in Christchurch (Hybrid).
As a Technical Manager you will work closely with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager to successfully deliver our customer commitments. You will have the technical ability, aptitude and confidence in this role to lead engineering teams and be responsible for requirements, design, implementation and delivery, in conjunction with product safety, security and certification.
Essential Skills:
* Strong Systems Engineering background with a minimum of 5 years of experience
* Leading the technical solution through the whole lifecycle from concept to in-service
* Understanding requirements (both in terms of technology need and operational context
* Integration of Commercial Of the Shelf technologies
* Understanding of Information Systems
* Understanding of MoD or Industry IT projects and programmes
Desirable Skills:
* Appropriate professional registration (IET etc)
* Assembly or installation aspects for COTS and Military IT equipment
* Understanding of Security Architectures
* Understanding of Development Frameworks
* Understanding of Software Architectures and Software implementation
* Physical and Electrical Safety, Security and Environmental compliance
