I'm looking for a Senior Project Controls Manager to join an Engineering business that operates in the Nuclear sector.
What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you'll lead a team of skilled project controls professionals while working closely with Project and Programme Managers. Your goal: ensure control, clarity and consistency across a major defence programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
- Delivering regular, accurate, and insightful internal and external reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Providing independent assurance on project progress and success likelihood.
- Ensuring integration and alignment of project control tools across contracts and sub-suppliers.
- Establishing and managing a robust Earned Value Management (EVM) system.
- Driving schedule and cost risk management, including regular risk reporting and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
- Supporting the continuous improvement of project controls capability within the business.
Essential Experience:
- Proven track record in project controls on large or complex programmes.
- Strong knowledge across all key disciplines: planning & scheduling, cost management, risk, change and performance management.
- Experience with governance assurance within a project controls environment.
- Proficiency in common project control tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, RiskHive, SAP/ERP systems.
- Experience working across multi-disciplinary teams, including external partners and customers.
Qualifications:
- APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
- Project Planning & Control Practitioner certification.
Working Arrangements:
- Hybrid working: 2 days on-site, 3 days remote
- Flexibility required to increase on-site presence based on project needs.
