Our client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse, high-profile projects, where you'll play a key role in delivering innovative engineering solutions.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery. You'll lead the design, planning and management of a variety of civil engineering works, ensuring projects are completed to the highest technical standards, on time and within budget.

You'll also act as a key point of contact for clients, deputise for Associates when required, and provide mentorship to junior team members. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining technical excellence with strong client relationship management.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing detailed technical designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and InfoDrainage.
  • Managing internal and external design consultants as part of coordinated project teams.
  • Carrying out site inspections to monitor progress, health & safety, and quality standards.
  • Approving technical calculations, reports, and documentation for planning, tender and construction stages.
  • Supporting client account management and long-term relationship building.
  • Managing project finances, including fee projections and invoicing.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to team members.

About You:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Progressing towards or already achieved Chartered Engineer (CEng/MICE) status.
  • Strong technical design background, with experience across a range of civil engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence, motivate and lead others.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The package:

  • You'll receive a very competitive salary (please get in touch for details on this) and other benefits including attractive pension and annual leave allowance. In addition there are other non-tangible benefits including a commitment to training, development and career development, which includes support towards Chartership (if not already achieved).
