SAP BI Developer

Overview:

• Responsible for development of Management Information (MI) and Business Intelligence (BI) work packages, Systems and
• Information Architecture in line with Maritime Services business requirements.
• Provide appropriate governance ensuring that MI/BI development solutions are deployed appropriately across Maritime Services.
• Ensures adherence to the General Management standards for BAE Systems, ensuring compliance with the Security Policy
• Framework and leverage other appropriate standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Scheme and other relevant
• Government frameworks / industry bodies of knowledge as applicable.

Key Deliverables:

• Document, develop, test and implement MI/BI solutions in line with business requirements.
• Applies technical strategies, policies, standards and practices within own area of responsibility.
• Supports and promotes the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within Maritime Services.
• Manages methods, tools, techniques; selecting appropriately from plan-driven/predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches to development.
• Develops and maintains procedures and documentation for databases. Identifies, evaluates and manages the adoption of appropriate database administration tools and processes, including enhancing automation.
• Contributes to setting standards for definition, security and integrity of database objects and ensures conformance to these standards
• Manages database configuration including installing and upgrading software and maintaining relevant documentation
• Monitors database activity and resource usage and optimises database performance where appropriate.
• Produces models in support of business strategy. Has in-depth knowledge of a broad range of industry-wide modelling techniques. Advise on the choice of techniques and approach and influences customers accordingly.

Key Skills / Experience:

• Strong hands-on SAP BW/4HANA experience.
• Strong hands-on ABAP(Object oriented) experience to design/implement Extractors, Transformations and Enhancements from BW context.
• Expertise in SAP Business Objects tools to create complex Web Intelligence docs, Lumira Dashboards (via Designer and scripts), AFO Workbooks.
• Strong experience in working with ODP, CDS Views, BADI's, AMDP scripts, advanced modelling methods leveraging latest BW/4HANA capabilities
• Ability to create performance efficient BW Data models with advanced trouble shooting skills
• Good knowledge of various S/4 modules including Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, HR modules etc.
• Excellent Stake holder experience and a strong ability to translate Business requirements into Technical Design and Functional Specifications.
