As an Automation Developer (Including RPA), you will be focused on building end to end automation process solutions that meet business requirements.
You will work within project planning constraints, owning development solutions and have a high level of exposure to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business.
The Automation team:
The Automation is expanding their operations to meet the increasing demand of integrate automation technology company-wide and we need your help to successfully achieve this milestone. We're branching out of the norm and attempting to revolutionise all aspects of our services and product for ourselves and the stakeholders involved within the process of Bot development and maintenance.
Typical duties include (but are not limited to):
- Rebuilding a number of existing automations using Automation Anywhere application, due to requirement changes linked to the delivery of a large business programme
- Work with the Solution Design Architect to plan the development approach factoring in the existing Automation programme and future development opportunities into the solution design
- Create and maintain throughout the project lifecycle, the Solution Design Document (SDD) including detailed Automation solution process flows, process and technical specification
- Design and develop RPA process solutions in accordance with standard Automation Anywhere design principles and conventions and development best practice
- Apply agile practices and principles to maximise business value and continuously improve the delivery of the right customer outcomes
- Drive Automation solutions through test, change management, and production readiness cycles, providing operational and change management support for all Automation developments
- Support the Automation Delivery Lead in the creation and ongoing refinement of an appropriately tailored Framework that provides the optimum platform for rapid and repeatable delivery of automated processes within the Business
- Work within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the Automation Manager accordingly
Essential:
- Experience developing and implementing RPA processes as an accredited Automation Anywhere developer
- An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
- The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind
- Fully conversant with computing concepts and development lifecycle methodologies
- Excellent understanding of Excel, its formulas and a demonstrable record of creating macros
- Excellent understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualise it as an automated solution
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent motivation skills, being both self-motivated & self-directed with ability to deliver outcomes to strict deadlines and able to motivate others at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrable record of presenting technical details to a non-technical audience
- Highly motivated and resilient and able to adapt to change
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel
Desirable:
- Experience of providing consultancy advice to senior stakeholders, peers and team members.
- Experience of quality assurance of documentation and processes.
- Experience of dealing with advanced Problem Analysis / Problem Solving methodologies
- Experience of evaluating complex / dynamic situations using multiple sources of information.
- Experience of resolving problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.
