Process Engineer - Nuclear Projects
Location: Warrington (3 days onsite per week)
Contract Length: 52 weeks
Rate: £40-£50 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Clearance Requirement: Must be eligible for SC clearance

Are you an early-to-mid career Process Engineer looking to work on large-scale, high-impact nuclear projects? We're recruiting on behalf of a major organisation in the nuclear sector, currently seeking a Process Engineer to join their expanding team.

The Opportunity:

As part of a highly skilled nuclear engineering team, you'll be involved in delivering process design and technical solutions throughout the full project lifecycle-from concept through to commissioning and decommissioning. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise within a growing portfolio of clean energy and defence-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply relevant codes, standards, and engineering principles to technical deliverables
  • Produce calculations, analyses, design documentation, drawings, and technical reports
  • Support and supervise designers in the creation of models and drawings
  • Contribute to technical specifications and provide support through all phases of the project
  • Carry out design risk assessments and prepare for HAZOP and hazard identification studies
  • Review design changes and assess technical queries and concessions
  • Ensure design intent is maintained through effective quality planning and verification

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering or a relevant scientific discipline
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Some experience in process design within a high-hazard or regulated industry
  • Effective team player with good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
