Principal Procurement Professional - Barrow in Furness - 6 Month Contract - £24.65 PAYE
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based in Barrow in Furness.
As a Procurement Professional, you will be supporting the Sub-Contract Managers and Procurement Managers in the management specific supplier packages; this will include but not be limited to managing requests for quotation, placement and amendment of contracts and managing supplier performance.
Your skills and qualifications:
- Relevant formal qualifications including any CIPS qualifications are desirable or equivalent
- Proficient user of MS Office Packages and other packages such as SAP (or similar ERP systems)
- Strong organisational and analytical skills and the ability to perform independently or as part of a team.
- Proven experience from a Procurement or Supply Chain background including an awareness of sourcing, supplier performance management and being able to identify supply chain risks is desirable
- Experience in working in a customer focussed environment
- Strong organisational and analytical skills and the ability to perform independently or as part of a team.
- An awareness of the requirements of effective negotiation.
