My client is an international leader in nuclear energy with a strong reputation for innovative solutions and high-value technologies. They are currently working on a number of industry leading power generation and fuel projects and as such as are looking to expand their talent team here.

They are looking to recruit a Nuclear Safety & Licensing Manager on a permanent basis who will be responsible for the implementation of a modular plant for the assembly of fuels for the operation of nuclear power plants.

Repoting directly to the Project Director, your mission will be to support in all phases of studies, construction and commissioning to ensure the control of risks and obtaining the necessary authorizations at each stage of the project.

The project is under the responsibility of the Industrial and Performance Department (IPD) of the Fuel BU and benefits from the expertise of its projects unit.

You will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all related nuclear UK-based authorities involved in the project
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between the French project team and local UK-based nuclear stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Ensuring completeness of the risks' identification based on the experiences of similar plants (in France and Germany),
  • Collecting data for the non-nuclear risks and ensure their completeness to the level expected by authorities


  • Will hold an Engineering Masters (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in nuclear safety management, in a nuclear environment
  • Oriented stakeholder with a pro-active attitude and excellent communications skills
  • French language skills- highly desirable but not necessary
