Job Title: Modelling Systems Engineer

Leading provider of cutting-edge engineering solutions in the defence sector. We specialize in developing advanced systems and technologies that push the boundaries of innovation and drive positive change.

As a Simulink Modelling Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, leveraging Simulink to design and optimise complex systems across various domains.

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Simulink Modelling Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for utilising Simulink to model, simulate, and analyse systems, contributing to the development of next-generation solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and extensive experience with Simulink-based modelling and simulation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and develop Simulink models that capture system behaviour accurately.
  2. Design and implement Simulink models for dynamic systems, including control systems, signal processing algorithms, and embedded software.
  3. Conduct simulations and analyses to evaluate system performance, identify potential issues, and optimize system design parameters.
  4. Develop validation and verification plans to ensure that Simulink models meet performance and reliability requirements.
  5. Work closely with hardware and software engineers to integrate Simulink models into real-world systems and validate their functionality.
  6. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on Simulink modelling best practices and optimization techniques.
  7. Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and requirements, and tailor Simulink models to meet their specific application scenarios.
  8. Stay current with the latest advancements in Simulink and related tools, and identify opportunities to enhance modelling capabilities and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in system modelling and simulation using Simulink, with a strong understanding of dynamic system behaviour and control theory.
  3. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and related toolboxes (e.g., Simulink Control Design, Simulink Real-Time, Simscape) for modelling, simulation, and analysis.
  4. Experience with modelling complex systems across multiple domains, such as aerospace, automotive, robotics, or renewable energy.
  5. Familiarity with software development practices and version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing Simulink models and associated artifacts.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex simulation issues effectively.
  7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and results clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

If you are passionate about advancing defence technology and making a positive impact on national security, we invite you to apply and help shape the future of the defence industry.
