The Role
As a Manufacturing Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for the process and procedures for transitioning products info full manufacture including work instructions, test procedures and rest and assembly jigs and fixtures. As part of your role, you'll be responsible for ensuring all products developed within your business area are optimised for manufacture and assembly. To succeed in the role of Manufacturing Development Engineer you'll need to have experience in design for manufacture in areas such as instrumentation, high volume manufacturing, FMCG or industrial equipment. Experience in any of the following will certainly hold you in good stead - APQP, PPAP, SolidWorks and Value Engineering.
