The Role
Within the Head of Supply Chain role, you’ll be responsible for:
Creating, developing and deploying the naval ships outsourced logistics strategy, including contracting strategy.
Working with key stakeholders to capture, verify and agree ongoing logistics business requirements. Working closely with the global combat ship organisation to understand the international business impact and directly alongside the Head of Logistics for the team in Australia to agree touchpoints.
Developing, owning and driving the overarching team delivery plan. Defining measures, milestones, dependencies, key performance indicators and internal service delivery agreements to enable delivery.
In addition, you’ll also develop the naval ships central warehouse concept to provide improved storage, resilience and flexibility across programmes and sites.
You
To succeed within the Head of Supply Chain role, you’ll have experience in a similar position, and you’ll ideally have the following skills:
Proven track record of deploying logistics strategy and managing a 3PL/4PL in a large scale, complex manufacturing programme.
Experience in logistics, operations and management.
Lean qualification or equivalent.
In addition, expert level negotiation skills are desirable, as is MCIPS/MCILT.
