Our client is a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke high-performance commercial & military radar antennas and supplier of complete radar systems. Their products are in service in over 60 countries with more than 500 installations and they therefore looking to expand their talent team with the recruitment of a Functional Safety Engineer to be based in Stoke.
This role is offered on a 12 Months fixed term contract with potential for extension.
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team where you will develop safety assurance evidence on a range of civil and military projects.
The role will be based in Stoke with potential working visits to their subsidiary Finland and client sites as required.
You will have:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Functional Safety role, developing safety assurance data and/ or Safety Cases against recognised National/ International standards
- Proficient in Failure Rate/ Reliability Prediction, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis.
- Engineering or science degree in electronic or software engineering or related subjects / Equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualification in engineering or science
- Experience in transport or defence design or assurance environment
- Experience in development of Software Assurance/ Integrity Levels and associated satisfaction evidence/ arguments - highly desirable
- Experience in Aviation/ Air Traffic Management - highly desirable
- Experience of Reliability Development, Testing and Demonstration - highly desirable
- Experience of Maintainability Analysis and Demonstration - highly desirable
