A fast-growing engineering consultancy with a £1bn+ turnover are looking to reorganise and strengthen their Electronics division with the addition of a new Electronics Business Leader, to based primarily from their offices near Bristol. The role offers a split between site and home working, with the company keeping an open mind on starting salary and package offers to attract the most experienced and talented individuals.
Reporting directly to senior management, your initial brief will be to oversee a team of experienced digital and analogue Electronics Engineers, lending your expertise and expertise to multiple ongoing projects while also leading business and operational planning activities. You'll initially be leading a team currently 20-25 strong, but with major plans to grow the department over the next few years that headcount could double or even treble in size.
Although this is more a business and operational role than a technical role, there is a preference for applicants who can utilise their previous experience to assist with the technical demands and also the development of less experienced engineers. Due to the nature of projects you'll be supporting, previous experience working to standards within a safety critical industry such as Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear or Marine is essential.
