Due to continued investment, this world-renowned business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for Electrical & Power Electronics Engineer to join their growing team in Chelmsford on a 6 month contract.

The Role
Within the role of Electrical & Power Electronics Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

* The Electrical & Electronic aspects of radar hardware design and Radar equipment support
* Resolve Project related Electrical Engineering activity to include, but not limited to; Project Specific design amendments, Problem Reports (initially Procurement followed by Build), Obsolescence Issues, liaising with Supplier to ensure Electrical design is iaw released Procurement Documentation
* Supporting the design of AC distribution systems including sizing, generation, protection, UPS and control across a range of power levels up to 1MW

In addition, you will also be supporting the design of DC distribution systems including specification of power supplies, converters, including sizing, protection, and control.

You
To succeed within the role of Electrical & Power Electronics Engineer, you'll have the following skills:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in the Aerospace and Defence Industry
* Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or strongly related subject
* Understands how to carry out job and how own work activities fit into the radar development team activities
* Working knowledge to support the design of motor drives, control, and positioning systems

In addition, you must be eligible and willing to go through SC security clearance.
