A truly innovative data centre operator with data centres (both colo and edge) across Europe is looking for a Director of IT Operations. This permanent role has been created to support the next stage of the company's growth and is London based although home working will be available.

As their Director of IT Operations you'll be responsible for the 24/7 running of the IT systems and the building of an effective service delivery organisation (both team and processes). As the business strategy includes significant outsourcing, you'll need to build a vendor ecosystem and build a strong service management regime.

To succeed in the role of Director of IT Operations, it's essential that you experience of a similar role within Service Management - this will include the building of a strong service management methodology (both internal staff and service providers). You'll also need to have vendor negotiation and RFI / RFP experience. Industry wise you'll need to come from a mission critical environment such as data centres, telco, utilities etc.
