ROLE: Crash and Impact Engineer - Propulsion System
ROLE TYPE: Contact (9 Months)
LOCATION: Remote (UK or Europe)

THE ROLE:

As s Crash & Impact Engineer you will report to the Team Leader and be part of a multi-disciplinary project team working on the Propulsion Team. In this position, you will provide analysis by means of explicit numerical simulations (FEM) whilst working with the design teams to ensure components are withstanding possible impact scenarios.

YOU:

To be successful in this position, you will need a M.Sc./M.Eng. or PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and ideally have 5+ years' experience within a similar position in the Aerospace industry. For this position, the company are looking for somebody who has an extensive understanding of nonlinear explicit FE analysis methods, structural mechanics and progressive failure analysis.
