I'm looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join am award-winning fire protection business based in Birmingham.
**You MUST have fire doors experience to be considered for this role**
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage all stages of fire protection contracts, including planning, resourcing, delivery, and close-out.
- Lead project teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality installations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and health & safety compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing queries, variations, and project updates.
- Prepare and oversee programme schedules, RAMS, budgets, and contract documentation.
- Work closely with procurement and design teams to ensure timely material and equipment supply.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with relevant standards (BS 5839, BS 5306, etc.).
- Report project performance and financial status to senior management.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in contract or project management within fire protection, M&E, construction, or a related technical sector.
- Strong understanding of fire detection, suppression, or passive fire protection systems (training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations, health & safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence.
The salary is £50,000 to £60,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
