Project Controller - 12 month initial contract opportunity!

A great opportunity has come along with one of the UK's leading Aerospace & Defence businesses who are currently looking to recruit a Project Controller to work at one of their busiest sites. The role is an initial 9-month contract and is paying £28.27 per hour (inside IR35) there is a view of starting the right candidate ASAP.


The Role: Project Controller
Contract: 12-months initially plus extensions
Rate: £28.27 per hour
IR35 status: Inside IR35.
Location: Warton, open to Hybrid/Remote

The role



* Establishing and managing the project schedules

* Tracking spend and controlling project costs
*
Implementing and utilising Earned Value Management methodologies when appropriate
*
Driving ownership of the work scope tasks throughout the project team

* Managing scope change for the project.

* Supporting the identification and management of Risks and Opportunities.

* Analysing project information to enable early identification of problems and then implementing mitigation actions.

Providing managerial analysis and a level of independent challenge to the organisation with respect to project performance





You


Essential skills and experience:

Experience of operating an effective project control system to define progress and identify programme performance issues

Experience creating and maintaining project schedules using toolsets such as MSP, OPP, Primavera

Experience applying Earned Value Management techniques

Demonstrable experience of risk, opportunity and change management

Strong analytical and reporting skills to enable key decisions to be made effectively

The ability to identify potential problems and express solutions with clarity

Excellent communication skills and proven experience of developing and maintaining excellent stakeholder relations

Ideally previous experience in a complex engineering business
