The Role

Within the role of Airworthiness Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivery of Product Assurance activities to schedule in line with the Product requirements and timescales to the quality and integrity necessary of an independent organisation.

  • Type Certification and Independent Safety Judgments / Reviews for in-service products providing traceable evidence of assurance activities and independent scrutiny.

  • Delivery of Release to Service And Aircraft Document Set for export products in-service in line with the capability release programme ensuring clear and precise language necessary for the maintenance of product integrity.

About You

In addition, you'll also be responsible for establishing and delivering the engineering activities using systems integration, and systems engineering techniques. This may include exploitation of learning across Air and other BAE Systems Units.

To succeed within the role of Airworthiness Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:

  • Understanding of Aircraft Level Certification process

  • Wider Knowledge of Platform, Systems and Weapons/Stores

  • Challenge the norm and normalisation of deviance

In addition, any experience in Microsoft Office Word and excellent Excel and Outlook skills will be helpful.

  • Support the Product Integrity Discipline to develop and expand their expertise and influence through supporting an internal community of practices and external engagements as appropriate.

  • Problem-solving of Product Integrity issues identified in a timely and professional manner, engaging with Engineering teams and subject matter experts as appropriate.
