Are you an experienced 3D CAD Engineer keen to support solutions within the manufacturing sector? If so, the following permanent role could be for you….

My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Stoke on Trent area. They are looking for a 3D CAD Engineer to join them ASAP on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models using SolidWorks software and creating order-specific part files from models using DriveWorks software.

This is a truly exciting time to join a market leading organisation with aggressive growth plans who are relocating to a brand new site in April 2024 in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

You will be responsible for:

  • Generating customer order parts using 3D Solidworks
  • Operation of DriveWorks
  • Use tooling software to program Punch Machines
  • Implementing changes in 3D models to aid production
  • Liaising with various departments
  • Communicating with the sales department, external suppliers and customers
  • Ordering of any job specific internal parts that may be required

You will have:

  • Solidworks experience
  • DriveWorks experience (desirable)
  • Trumpf or similar Punch machinery programming
  • Door manufacturing (desirable)
  • Salvagnini Punch/fold machine experience
  • A good understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production (desirable)
