A growing technology business, based in Leicestershire (hybrid working - 2 days in the office per week), is looking for a Director of Software Development to be responsible for all software developments working alongside the Director of Engineering, Product Management and the Technical and Professional Services teams. You'll be supporting the global growth of a business that counts the US government, the UK government and many of the world's biggest companies amongst their customer base. In fact, your input and decisions will influence future products and the direction of the business.
The Role
As their Director of Software Development, you'll have a variety of responsibilities including (but not limited to) line management of a significant sized team (c30 people in total managed via a number of Development Managers), sprint planning, release scheduling, tracking, reporting and recruitment (significant growth needed in 2024).

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have experience of a significant leadership role (within software development) and have been a hands on Software Developer / Engineer in your earlier career - experience of either C++ or C# is strongly preferred as these are the primary software languages within the business. Any experience of Agile working, acting as a Scrum Master and the cyber security industry would certainly hold you in good stead.
The Package
As their Director of Software Development, you'll receive a salary of up to £120,000 dependent upon experience, plus bonus, healthcare, 25 days' and 5% pension contributions.
