The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineering - Fuselage Complex Systems and Structures, you will be responsible for:
- Design and develop airframe primary load path components and assemblies using aerospace best practice for metallic and composite parts
- Design and optimize components and assemblies under responsibility of the Structure IPT with attention towards weight optimization and short lead time for flight test utilization, using Siemens NX as 2D and 3D CAD software
- Manage the design data of your system in Teamcenter (PBS, BOM, etc.)
- Assist in the development of manufacturing, integration, and test processes and procedures
- Support the system development from concept to production, resolving any design, manufacturing, and assembly issues along the way
- Supplier interaction for parts manufacturing and if needed testing
- Check and approval of technical 2D drawings for manufacturing release according to ISO GPS standards
- Apply the experience on airframe parts development to integrate a challenging structural system onto the airframe
- Define, coordinate and manage interfaces with other systems
You
To succeed within the role of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineering - Fuselage Complex Systems and Structures, you will have the following skills:
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering (aerospace specialization, MSc/M.Eng preferred)
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the aerospace industry is required
- Detailed in depth knowledge of composite and metallic structures and their design principles
- Good knowledge of Siemens NX and other CAD systems
- Good knowledge of ISO GPS (alternatively ASME GD&T can be considered) and overall good drafting skills
- Basic knowledge with PDM/PLM systems (Teamcenter or equivalent)
- Understanding of high dynamic loads introduction to primary structures and consequent best design principles to be applied
- Good knowledge of thermal and electrical engineering principles
