A global leader in defence is looking to recruit a number of electrical commissioning engineers to work from their site in Barrow-in-Furness
The key responsibilities of this position will include:
* To carry out routine work with limited supervision & have an understanding of safety consequences in a high risk environment
* Responsible for leading Test and Commissioning activities of on board electrical systems
* Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant manner
* Instruct & mentor less experiences members of the team within your knowledge & competency
* Ability to research, review & interrogate technical design documentation and drawings and subsequently create test documentation
* Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislation
* To represent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements
* Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with Company policy, procedures and legislation
Experience
Applicants should have a strong background in electrical commissioning, ideally from a safety critical/highly regulated industry however this is not a necessity. Any knowledge of hydraulic, pressurised air and gas, domestic and chilled water systems would be advantageuous.
