Nether Alderley Primary School is a small, successful rural school in Cheshire, located close to the village of Alderley Edge. The School has capacity for 105 children in four mixed-age classes. We are seeking a part time Learning Support Assistant (26 hours per week) to work one-to-one with two enthusiastic, happy and well behaved Year 3 children. Your role will be to work alongside the class teachers to deliver the objectives as stated in the children's Education, Health and Care plans, including :
* creating suitable bespoke learning activities and deliver targeted learning interventions in english and maths
* providing opportunities for developing social skills and positive relationships with peers and adults
* delivering interventions to develop learning, emotional awareness, social interaction and communication skills
* delivering targeted speech and language intervention
You will be the key worker for one of the children and will liaise with other members of staff, parents and other professionals.
We need you to have an NVQ 2 or higher; experience of supporting pupils with learning, speech, language and communication needs and to be self-motivated and able to work in a small team with a positive, can-do attitude.
