We have a great new role available in our first in kind data centre in Europe. We are looking for a Security Systems Engineer to be based in Newport, South Wales. Our Security team is very hands on, they purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware and work closely with partners to keep up to date with technology advancement.
The Role:
You will be designing, building and maintaining Security infrastructure in a modern data center. You will participate in project management for all security system installations and upgrades, whilst communicating with customer teams to ensure their security expectations are met and maintenance causes minimal disruption. You will manage Automated Access Control Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, low voltage security equipment, CCTV, IP networking and structured cabling. There will also be a secondary side of the role working with customers and internal teams to design security systems for new buildings or customers to include placement of the systems, cameras and call buttons.
You:
You will have experience of Automated Access Control Systems, Video Surveillance, CCTV and IP networking and experience designing security systems for new buildings and facilities, including the placement of the cameras and call buttons. Ideally you will hold a HNC or BTEC Level 4 or Industry equivalent experience in Information Technology.
You will be eligible to possess or able to attain SC clearance within a safety critical site.
