Join a world-renowned Aerospace and Defence organisation as a Product Development Engineer in Crewe.

Would you like to join a global Aerospace and Defence organisation? Do you want to play a key part in protecting the lives and futures of others?

Due to continued investment, this leading-edge manufacturing business is currently in the midst of a huge recruitment drive and is looking for an experienced Product Development Engineer to join their growing team in Crewe on a 12month contract. Rate is £31.15/hour Umbrella.

The Role

Within the role of a Product Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Conducting and managing product and process design, development, test and evaluation activities on SAA products
  • Conducting and managing trials in a safe and suitable manner, from the trials planning stage to completion of the trial and presentation of the data
  • Preparing technical documentation, including reports, procurement specifications and requirement specifications

In addition, you will also work with suppliers, both internal and external, to ensure that technical and quality requirements are achieved for manufactured items to time and schedule.


You

To succeed within the role of a Product Development Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification and / or HNC/HND supported by complementary experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in the development and industrialisation of products and processes in the Engineering industry
  • Experience with trials, tests and evaluation of products or processes

In addition, you should also have good understanding of manufacturing techniques and assembly processes and ability to interpret Technical Drawings.
