Location: Plymouth (Hybrid)
Duration: Intially 6 Month contract
Rate: £45 - £60 per hour umbrella rate depending on experience
Note: Must hold live SC or be eligable for SC
Overview:
The client is seeking to appoint a Planning Engineer within the Facilities Engineering Programme Management Office (PMO).
The PMO comprises a team of 30 Planning, Project Engineering and Business Support professionals, providing a planning and project controls service to the Facilities Engineering design team.
This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and assist in the delivery of Defence design and safety engineering projects.
Your role will be permanent and will provide an interface between the internal customer and design / safety engineering teams.

The Role:
As a Planning Engineer you will:
- develop detail within new & existing post initiation project schedules,
- maintain schedules and ensure correct cost collection
- update progress and supply accurate reports, analysis with variances investigation,
- manage project baselines
- Undertake change management
Key Skills/Experiences:
Demonstrable knowledge of primavera P6 or other Project Management systems and in have a good working knowledge of windows based applications.
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management. You will have a good knowledge of project controls and management principles.
It would be advantageous for you to have experience of facilities management in a regulated environment.
