Oracle APEX Solutions Engineer
Bristol, Leicester, or Plymouth (2 days per week onsite)
£400 - £500 per day (Inside IR35)
6-month contract
Active SC clearance required (used within the last 12 months)

The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Oracle APEX specialist to join a major defence programme, delivering digital solutions that directly support the UK naval fleet. This is a chance to apply your expertise in a role that combines technical leadership, hands-on development, and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Shaping technical solutions from requirements through to delivery.
  • Building innovative applications using Oracle APEX, with efficient and reusable design.
  • Writing complex PL/SQL code to support data validation, import/export, and business logic.
  • Applying JavaScript to enhance and optimise web-based applications.
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies and demonstrating progress to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with BAs, PMs, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver effective solutions.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven track record in Oracle APEX application development.
  • Strong PL/SQL and database development skills.
  • Practical JavaScript experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps, and configuration control.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and influence others.
