A truly innovative data centre operator with data centres (both colo and edge) across Europe is looking for a Lead Data Architect. This permanent role has been created to support the next stage of the company's growth and can either be London or Amsterdam based (mix of home and office working). This is a great opportunity to make a difference within a new venture, albeit one with over 100 data centres already - architecture within the organisation is early stage so offers a blank canvas. Due to this, the position is very hands on and will require good technical knowledge (albeit the actual "build" is outsourced).
The Role
As their Lead Data Architect you'll be responsible for defining and maintaining the Data Architecture end to end from contributing to their vision and strategy, to fully owning the technical design as well as driving implementation. You'll liaise with project managers, product owners and business stakeholders at all levels to support and influence their choices regarding data modelling and management, effectively combining the Architect's approach and mindset with the need for pragmatic and tangible delivery.

To succeed in the role of Lead Data Architect, it's essential that you have experience of a similar role - industry wise the company is open although critical infrastructure (utilities, telco, power, data centres etc) would be ideal. Azure and D365 are preferred but not essential.
