A Systems Design & Manufacturer within the Nuclear sector is seeking a Layout Engineer to join their team in Bristol.

You will be joining the Layout Team which is responsible for supporting the construction of two EPR units at HPC by providing engineering support for the plant's design.

As a Layout Engineer, you will be involved in various engineering activities, such as:

  • Analysing and verifying technical data (e.g., P&ID, equipment data)
  • Improving building design and implementing mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Routing electrical cable trays, pipes, and HVAC ducts in a 3D model
  • Producing technical documents and coordinating layout activities
  • Managing and monitoring engineering modifications
  • Preparing layout engineering reviews and supporting design companies

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience in electrical layout, mechanical, HVAC, safety, etc.
  • Degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Knowledge of electrical and general layout rules for industrial projects
  • Understanding of nuclear power station operations and safety aspects

Desirable:

  • Nuclear industry experience
  • Experience with PWRs
  • Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g., Navisworks, AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D)
  • French language skills

The salary on offer is up to £65,000 (potentially higher for the right person) accompanied with a generous package deal, including 25 days holiday, 8% employer pension contribution, private health care, life assurance (4x salary), plus more including access to training and development opportunities.
