Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for an Integration Engineer to join their existing team in Plymouth (hybrid working) on an initial 12 month contract basis.

The Role

As an Integration Engineer, you will support the Operations and Integration Manager on aspects of Integration and Interface Management within the Project. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Preparing/updating the Interface Management Plan.
  • Reviewing/coordinating the Product Breakdown Structure and producing/updating the System Interface Matrix.
  • Running regular Integration Workshops and Interface Review Meetings with Design Leads and Design Houses.

In addition, you will also be maintaining the Interface Refence List as a tool for Interface Management and reporting on the status of interfaces to the Operations and Integration Manager.

You

To succeed within the role of an Integration Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

  • A degree in an appropriate discipline, e.g. Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture, or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and practices.
  • Recognised by an industry/professional body, e.g. Chartered Engineer registered with Engineering Council, or working towards this status
  • Demonstratable relevant knowledge and experience in operating throughout the design life cycle.

In addition, you should also have knowledge and experience of submarine maintenance and/or design in the nuclear industry.

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
