Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for an IA Support Officer to join their existing team in Devonport (hybrid working, 1 day a week onsite) on a 12 month contract.

The Role

As an IA Support Officer, you will report to the 'Major Infrastructure Projects' (MIP) IA Manager and provide support into the team assisting the delivery of an effective Information Assurance function. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Management of security incident reporting/trending and LFE within the business
  • Maintenance of the Defence Nuclear Information (DNI) register for the business, conducting assurance and spot checks in relation to handling procedures
  • Management of a number of SharePoint systems which demonstrate to the client, regulators and internal assurance teams our ability to comply with Babcock policies, regulatory and customer requirements

You

To succeed within the role of an IA Support Officer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

  • Previous experience of working in regulatory environment ideally in the Nuclear industry
  • Editorial and briefing skills, with ability to summarise complex information and present in an effective manner
  • Experience in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and SharePoint

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
