A truly innovative data centre operator with data centres (both colo and edge) across Europe is looking for a Senior Manager of Data Science. This permanent role has been created to support the next stage of the company's growth and is London based although home working will be available. You'll be the first Data Scientist in the team so it's a very hands on role but with great opportunity to progress your career and potentially build a team.
The Role
As their Senior Manager of Data Science, you'll have influence on the business as a trusted council on matters related to technology and business strategy and you'll have a fundamental impact on the organisation's long-term success. You'll establish the organisation's reputation as a centre of excellence for specific areas within technical infrastructure data science, statistics, and machine learning and then, when needed, build a world class team. In addition, you must be able to challenge and effect change and you'll always be looking for opportunities to improve the business through the application of quantitative methods and data analysis.

To succeed in the role of Senior Manager of Data Science, you'll need to have held a similar role with Cloud, ML and Monte Carlo experience. Industry wise they are open but would like you to have a varied background - in this role, one day you might be doing the analysis to decide where to builld the next data centre and the following day you might be working with the CFO on finance models. Any experience of building / managing a team and / or data centre projects will certainly hold you in good stead.
