The Background:
Working for a boutique consultancy with a global presence, the global mobility aspect of this role will focus mainly on the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia regions but will also have an opportunity to be involved in all regions.
The Role:
The Global Mobility Consultant will be responsible for:
Global Mobility:
Provide visa guidance to facilitate and plan for cross-border staffing and training in specified locations
Proactively support the process of securing business visas and work visas for employees, including:
Research of visa application processes online and by contacting embassies and consulates
Provision of visa advice
Preparation of application documentation
Subsequent follow-up to ensure completion of process and capturing visa information on the database
Where required, initiate visa applications with the migration agent and act as the point of contact during the visa application process
Provide overall support for inbound and outbound people transfers and relocations across all regions including conducting briefing calls with the employee, flight bookings, temporary accommodation, and shipping coordination
Work with Finance team to ensure proper allocation of mobility expenses to the engagement or department
Work with the Tax team to advise of cross border movements - run fortnightly cross border movement report for the Tax team and confirm the visa status of employees
Monitor Global Mobility Policy and identify opportunities for development
Coordinate day-to-day relationships with external vendors, including migration agents and corporate travel company
Remuneration:
Prepare remuneration packages for new hires
Draft contractual documentation including new employee and contractor offers and contract amendments
Ensure all contracts are valid
Initiate onboarding process for new starters
Ongoing maintenance of remuneration records on internal database for new starters
Provide support to the bi-annual remuneration reviews including preparing remuneration templates, updating remuneration database, finalising remuneration review letters and creating remuneration reports
Administering benefits plans (e.g. health insurance plan set up and renewals, pension plans)
The Person:
The successful candidate will have:
Previous global mobility & remuneration experience gained within a global multinational or consulting firm
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Highly sophisticated Excel and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to work as a team and multi-task
Meticulous attention to detail
Proven ability to work at differing levels and build relationships with key stakeholders
Ability to work in an often ambiguous & changing environment
Excellent administrative skills
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Clear understanding of the need to balance conflicting priorities within the business
